1. Information about the procurement

ICT Solution: Modernization of customer information systems
The project consisted of modernizing the customer information system and implementing new technologies, such as IoT and SmartMetering. This ICT solution was aimed at innovating the way in which Canal de Isabel II interacts with its clients, more specifically, through the digital transformation of the actual system that provides services to more than a million clients and which invoices near €4.000.000,00 per working day.
Canal de Isabel II is regarded as being a driving force of the Spanish water market. It is a prestigious and sizeable company which intends to be the first in Spain to use ICT innovation for a very big IT project. The project was expected to have a significant impact for the water supply companies.

To the general procurement of the organisation: best practices for innovation procurement, development of a business case and contract management.
