ICT Solution: Intelligent Data Analysis Tool (HAID IMPULSA)

Gijon Impulsa Empresas sought to achieve the complete and fully functional development of an Intelligent Data Analysis Tool (HAID IMPULSA) to solve the needs of various interest groups in the city of Gijon. The Intelligent Data Analysis Tool had to prepare and homogenise, extract and analyse large amounts of information obtained from multiple and heterogeneous sources of both structured (databases, spreadsheets, open databases) and unstructured information (reports, records in text format, html).

The ICT solution needed to be interoperable to facilitate the re-use of the captured and treated information. In case of the re-use of personal data, this was to be done in compliance with the new Regulation on the protection of personal data.

The ICT solution had to be based on butt and big data technologies and had to respond to at least the Key Performance Indicators included in the Gijón City Social Agreement: “Agreement for growth, diversification of economic activity, the promotion of talent and the improvement of employability in a framework of social cohesion” (Gijón grows, 2016-2019).

  • Data analytics and big data visualisation as a support for the business intelligence needs of the area of business and economic development of the Municipality of Gijon.
