ICT Solution: AI Tool for the regional urgency control rooms

RAV Brabant MWN, RAV Brabant Zuidoost and Witte Kruis RAV Zeeland aim to purchase an AI Tool for the regional urgency control rooms in East Brabant and Zeeland/West Brabant. The joint procurement has the purpose to obtain a future-proof AI system that meets the AI regulatory requirements. In accordance with Article 5 sub c of Annex III of the proposal of AI regulation, AI systems that are intended to be used for the deployment or for setting priorities in the deployment of emergency services, including the fire brigade and ambulance, are qualified as a high-risk AI system.

In this context, the AI System must be able to deal with and meet the new urgency classification to be introduced at any time. The AI system shall be frequently updated with innovative developments and/or improvements and the underlying algorithms shall not be static, but frequently improved and/or supplemented.

Such procurement of AI tools is in line with national policy that encourages the use of AI for optimizing ambulance services in NL.
