Webinar-Workshop: 18 May 2021 – 9:30 CEST
A 4-hour workshop webinar for European public buyers
This four-hours workshop webinar offers practical insights into how innovation procurement can play a key role in tackling the significant challenges the European public sector is facing nowadays – especially in the context of economic recovery following the COVID crisis, the Green Deal objectives, cybersecurity and other societal challenges.
The webinar tackles how to use innovation procurement to boost a digital-green economic recovery. The webinar puts the spotlight on success cases that were supported in the past by EAFIP and that will share the approaches they used to maximise impacts, both from the buyer’s and the supplier’s perspective. Benefits and lessons learned of the strategic use of pre-commercial procurement and public procurement of innovative solutions were presented.
For public buyers that are interested to start new innovation procurements, EAFIP also explains in this webinar how to apply for free of charge assistance as well as what types of assistance EAFIP can provide.
EAFIP can help public buyers that are looking for innovative digital solutions to address challenges in different sectors including healthcare, transport, energy, environment, education, construction, water, security, public administration etc.
Why innovation procurement?
By developing a forward-looking innovation procurement strategy public procurers can drive innovation from the demand side. This enables the European public sector to modernise public services faster while creating opportunities for companies in Europe to obtain a first customer reference, gain international leadership in new markets and stimulate economic recovery.
The webinar was hosted by experts in the field of innovation procurement and featured presentations from and Q&A with several public buyers as well as suppliers with hands-on experience in innovation procurement.
